Sangarin Daddere HRH. Alh. Balarabe Sa’eed Muhammad (Alhassan IV )

His Royal Highness, Alhaji Balarabe Sa’eed Muhammad (Alhassan IV), Sangarin Daddere, was born on 20th March 1959. From his early years, he demonstrated resilience and adaptability, leaving his hometown of Daddere to live with his elder brother, the late Sangarin Muhammad Alhassan, at various posting stations.

He began his formal education at Kuyanbana Primary School, Minna (1967 through 1973) and proceeded to Government Secondary School, Minna (1973 through 1978). His pursuit of knowledge led him to the College of Education, Minna (1978 through 1981) and subsequently to Bayero University, Kano (1984 through 1987), where he earned a B.A. (Hons) in Mass Communication. With an enduring passion for scholarship and leadership, he advanced to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1997 through 2003), where he obtained a Master’s degree in International Relations and Political Science.

His professional journey reflects excellence, service and dedication. In 1982, he joined the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Minna, where he distinguished himself as a presenter, newscaster, news editor, producer and transmission controller. His eloquence and professionalism later took him to Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited, Kaduna, where he rose to the position of Head of Public Relations and Senior Industrial Relations Officer (1991 through 2005).

In recognition of his integrity, service and deep-rooted commitment to his people, Alhaji Balarabe Sa’eed Muhammad was selected as the Sangarin Daddere in November 2005, succeeding in the footsteps of his predecessors with honour and vision.

As a journalist, communicator and leader, His Royal Highness has represented his profession and community at numerous seminars, workshops and conferences, while maintaining active membership in esteemed bodies such as the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Today, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Balarabe Sa’eed Muhammad (Alhassan IV), Sangarin Daddere, stands as a beacon of scholarship, service and cultural stewardship, an embodiment of leadership that blends tradition with modern intellect, inspiring generations to uphold the values of knowledge, dignity and communal progress.
